Design & Manufacture

Ockeblo designed by the Swedish for all the Baltic can do.

The material

By manufacturing our boats in aluminium, we can combine low weight with high rigidity. Aluminum is a fantastic material: light, dense, strong and durable. In addition, it is durable and maintenance-free. But not all aluminum is created equal. Pure aluminum does not have the properties required to be used in marine environments. We therefore exclusively use a special alloy that is adapted for life at sea. It gives our boats the strength and stiffness required to deliver good seaworthiness. The alloy also provides corrosion resistance that ensures the same maintenance-free boating year after year.

With the Cold in Mind

The boat is equipped with a cozy cabin, offering shelter from unpredictable weather and making it ideal for extended voyages. Inside, you'll find a state-of-the-art heating system, allowing you to enjoy the water well into the cooler months. Whether you're an avid angler looking for early morning tranquility or a family seeking weekend getaways, our powerboat promises warmth, safety, and unforgettable memories on the waves. Embrace the freedom of year-round boating and redefine your aquatic adventures with our exceptional aluminum powerboat.

Why Aluminium?

1. Lower Weight

One of the most significant advantages of aluminium is its lightweight nature. Aluminium boats are typically 30 to 40 percent lighter than equivalent fiberglass boats and 45 to 55 percent lighter than steel boats, making them easier to tow and maneuver. This reduced weight translates to improved fuel efficiency, allowing you to save money on fuel costs and enabling you to equip smaller, lighter engines that can achieve higher speeds.

2. Overall Lifespan

Looking for a boat that will stand the test of time? Aluminium might be your best bet. Thanks to its impressive tensile strength, aluminium offers exceptional durability and longevity. Not only do aluminium boats generally last longer than their fiberglass counterparts, but they are also resistant to various forms of damage, which contributes to their overall lifespan.

3. Resale Value

If you’re considering the long-term investment potential of your boat, aluminium's ability to maintain value is a significant advantage. Because aluminium boats are easier to maintain and resist deterioration better than fiberglass boats, they often hold their resale value exceptionally well. This means that if you decide to sell your boat down the line, you may recoup more of your initial investment.

4. Hull Integrity and Energy Absorption

Planning a trip into rough waters? Aluminium's energy absorption capabilities make it an ideal choice for challenging conditions. Unlike fiberglass, aluminium is flexible and resistant to impact, which helps prevent hull damage even in adverse weather. Furthermore, aluminium's high ductility means that repairs can be made easily and affordably, ensuring that any minor damage doesn't compromise your boat's integrity for long.

5. Easier Maintenance

Maintenance is another area where aluminium boats shine. Unlike fiberglass boats that require frequent waxing and specialized repairs if damaged, aluminium boats require minimal upkeep. Their robust construction means that repairs are typically quick and cost-effective, saving you both time and money.

6. Solar Radiation Resistance

Aluminium's resistance to solar radiation is an additional plus. While all materials can suffer damage from sun exposure, aluminium stands out as it is less susceptible to degradation compared to fiberglass. This means that you can enjoy long, sunny days on the water without worrying about potential damage to your boat's structure.

7. Recyclability and Eco-Friendliness

For environmentally-conscious boat owners, aluminium presents a greener option. The manufacturing process for aluminium boats is less resource-intensive than that for fiberglass, making them a more eco-friendly choice from the outset. Additionally, aluminium is highly recyclable, allowing for a sustainable lifecycle if your boat ever needs to be retired or repurposed.

8. Corrosion and Fire Resistance

While aluminium can corrode, modern aluminium boats are designed to withstand seawater exposure without experiencing significant deterioration. Additionally, aluminium exhibits fire resistance, making it a safer alternative compared to fiberglass, which can be highly flammable without the right treatments.
